As the summer comes to an end, so does the festival season, a season in which ZPOS was present in full force. Our festival mission began in June with the biggest challenge yet: Rock in Rio Lisboa. Through the Zone Soft software and the implementation of the ZPOS system, it was possible to register, invoice and control all the sales made within the city of rock with just one piece of software. A hybrid cloud brought together more than 545 points of sale where thousands of transactions were processed simultaneously by our systems which generated both invoice and payment on a single terminal. The solution adopted was the ZSPOSMobile software, with exclusive adaptations for the event and unparalleled mobility capacity – with merchants using more than 100 terminals in a single operation.

In addition, ZPOS implemented an internal meal control system for artists and staff, using ZSREST, which managed all the festival staff by magnetic stripe card at 3 different meal points. 

The centralization of orders set ZPOS the challenge of creating, together with Zonesoft, a Web App where all the traders in the venue would place their orders and a central warehouse would invoice and distribute them. Thousands of orders were placed and delivered from pointto-point.

With easy, fast and secure payment, the only concern for those passing through Parque da Bela Vista was choosing where to have a drink, lunch and dinner. After months of intensive work, we can say that our pioneering mission at Rock in Rio has been successfully
accomplished! With the help of our system, it was possible for customers and merchants to make cash, ATM card or MBway transactions in a few seconds, all at the same terminal.
Technology was queen at Portugal’s biggest event!

ZPOS began planning “Operation: City of Rock” in February 2022. Rock In Rio used the technologies: ZSREST, ZSPOSMOBILE, BIIP, FREEBEE, WEBAPP native to the event. 600 mobile terminals, 50 fixed terminals, 500 cash drawers, 4 industrial pallets of paper rolls, 40 technicians, 5 months of planning and several million transactions carried out with 100% stability and no system or network failures. July was followed by appearances at Sumol Summer Fest, Voa Heavy Rock Festival, EDP Cool Jazz and Jardins do Marquês Festival in Oeiras. The season ended in August at MEO Sudoeste.
